Support
If you bought your licence from a provider or a shop, ask them first — they can see your device and fix most things faster than we can.
Do I get channels with this?
No. Vortex Player is a player and nothing else — it has no channels, sells none, and cannot get you any. You bring an Xtream account or an M3U address from a provider you already pay.
One channel plays and another shows a black picture. Why?
Usually the provider’s HLS repackaging rather than the channel. A panel serves the same feed two ways, and the repackaged one is the part that falls over under load. The player asks for the raw stream first and falls back on its own — and where that is not enough, Settings ▸ Playback lets you fix the format for good.
My provider says I am using two connections.
Not from here. Asked for as HLS, a channel costs two connections — one for the playlist and one for the segments, on different hosts, so no amount of reuse joins them. Vortex Player asks for the raw stream instead, which is one. If your panel shows two, tell us which panel: that is a bug worth measuring.
What happens when my internet is down?
The player opens and keeps working for a few days on the last answer our service gave it — your licence does not depend on being able to reach us at that moment. Watching, of course, still needs your provider.
I bought a licence. Where do I put the code?
On the home screen, or in Settings ▸ Account: Enter a code. Your playlists, favourites and settings are untouched by it.
Can I move my licence to another device?
Yes. Ask whoever sold it to you — they can release the device in their panel, and the code then activates on the new one.
The subtitles are too small on my television.
Settings ▸ Playback ▸ Subtitles. Size, colour, and a solid box behind the words for bright scenes where an outline disappears. There is a preview under the controls so you can see it before you go back.
Is there a version for my television?
Not yet. Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Android TV and iOS are planned. Windows is what exists today.
